Users attempting to access the JoomSuite.com site today are being greeted with an unexpected message today. It reads, in simple red text: "Site was hacked by PS." JoomSuite, one of the older and more well-known Joomla extension developers, is the creator, ironically enough, of JoomSuite Defender, a component designed to enhance Joomla security. The developer promotes the component by referencing its installation as "hacker safe mode."
In the message posted to the site, the hacker made reference to what may have been a purchase transaction that was not successfully completed. The message reads: "I send you my order Sergei . you dosn't answer me."
There has been no word when or if JoomSuite will be able to reestablish service on its site.
UPDATE: As of July 5, the JoomSuite site has been restored to full functionality.
